Big applause!!!! Never been expected that a website dedicated to the trekking area near and around Bogor,Puncak might available someday! Big thanks for all of you who have made this possible. Hope to see the local hiking clubs getting developed and organized as a more eco-friendlier alternative toward recreations.

Congratulations on the maps. Last time I checked your published maps you are yet to cover the western side of G. Pangrango. I am an ardent walker/climber and happen to live on the this side of the mountain - Desa Pawenagan, Kec Nagrak. I would be pleased to join and support any efforts to survey treks on this side. We could certainly offer out house as a base. Also, I know people in the village who know the foothills well. all the best, n

I visited Hanging Rocks in the Gunung Mas Plantation on 7 and 8 February 2009. It was just about 1,5 hour walking from the front of Gunung Mas Tea Factory. I saw a very beatiful waterfall there, while at the map there is no sign of such waterfall. I do not know whether it exists during the rainy seasons only. The footpath may not clearly visible, hence the guide is necessary and it is strongly suggested to report to the plantantion administrator's office (Pak Dede the Administrator and/or Pak Budi the manager of Gunung Mas agrotourism) to ensure they know where you are going/heading to in case of emergency. It is clearly shorter that the waterfall at the upper Ci Sampay at Gedongan Hill (it is now clearly seen from the front of Koperasi store just over the tea factory), but indeed it is more reachable. I was trekking with my 8-y.o. son and he enjoyed it very well as well as our previous trek in Gunung Mas plantation area and its surrounding. Regards, Loso Judijanto
